C-MASTERS COMPETITION ?

Lockdown is over, let's go sailing !

During the corona crisis with restrictive measures in place and many RYA training centres having suspended their practical and classroom courses, we believed it was the perfect time to refresh your knowledge on navigation and seamanship. We organised 2 months of fun with cracking weekly assignments and resolving questions.

The C-MASTERS competition was open to everyone, and was participated by many. We hope you've enjoyed it, and feel recharged and eager to go sailing again.

Now that the competition is over, it's time to announce the winners.

First Prize: Come on board and experience the great Solent sailing area on one of our C-MASTERS yachts

Wouldn't it be fantastic to be on the water again, after weeks or months of being confined to your home and your computer ? That's why we want to treat you to a true sailing adventure, and where else than in the heart of RYA's training grounds. You will be joining us for a 8 days trip to the Solent, with impressive destinations such as Yarmouth, the Beaulieu river and Cowes, the centre of regatta sailing.

We named this trip an Experience Builder, ideal for anyone who would like to experience sailing in a strong tidal stream past the Needles, crossing a TSS, practice pilotage and passage planning, night-time navigation, but also enjoys picking up moorings for a relaxed lunch.

Second Prize:

FREE 2 day MASTERclass on Motor handling and Diesel Engine knowledge

Your 2 day MASTERclass will consist of a full day of motor handling on one of our yachts to advance your skills and confidence when manoeuvring in marinas and passing locks, and one day on maintenance, repair, fault finding and the principal working of a diesel engine. Next to having learned a lot, and enjoying yourself during these 2 days, you will also receive the RYA Diesel Engine course certificate at successful completion.

There are only winners at this competition. Next to having learned while participating at the competition, there is also a prize for everyone else who has entered the competition and has actively participated by issuing responses to at least 5 of the 7 assignments. The third prize winners will be contacted shortly.
